1st Match
1st Half
Fry’s started strong with
some excellent passing and fast runs down the wing by Perry whose shot at goal
was just off target.
Bristol United replied with
a good run down the middle of the pitch and forced a corner from Fry’s.
The corner was defended
well by Jonathan Shorland and Perry May and the ball
played up the left wing to Jack Dancey. Jack kept the
ball well and took on several players to pass to Kyle Morris who was nearly
through on goal.His shot was blocked and fell to
Mickey Parsons who narrowly missed the target.
United came straight back
at Fry’s but had no answer to the defensive duo of Jonathan Shorland
and Joel Rowbottom.
Mickey received the ball in
the centre of the pitch and turned to make a 25-yard pass to Kyle who only had
the keeper to beat after being left unmarked 6yards out from goal, 0-1.
United had no reply from
the restart and lost the ball to a tough challenge from Mickey who took the
ball forward and shot to give the home keeper little chance, 0-2.
Fry’s continued to apply
the pressure with good passing and strength to make the game look easy.
An intercepted Fry’s pass
saw a United player break through on goal only to over
run for a goal kick.
A big goal kick from Aaron Loughlin released Jack down the left wing to put in a good
cross that came to nothing.
United
broke away again to get a shot at goal but with little power after being shut
down by Jon and Joel.
Fry’s put the pressure
straight back on United and forced a corner that was crossed in close to the
keeper by Perry and tapped home by Kyle after the keeper failed to hold the
ball from the cross, 0-3.
United replied to this with
another run down the centre of the pitch to shoot, giving Aaron little chance
in goal, 1-3.
Fry’s finished the half
with some more good passing and a lot of communication
to other players in the team.
2nd Half
United
applied the pressure at the start of this half making
a good tackle against Kyle after a he made a good run down the middle of the
pitch.
United
broke away again and Fry’s failed to make any tackles, giving the home side
another chance. The United player was able to get his shot in and the ball
slipped through the hands of Fry’s keeper Aaron, 2-3
Some
strong tackles going in from Mickey saw Fry’s win a corner that was taken well
by Jack and Fry’s were unlucky to get another goal.
Fry’s were then caught napping and another breakaway United player
got through the Fry’s defence to level the score, 3-3.
Fry’s fought
back with good tackles going in from Mickey but fail
to take hold of the game and have to rally against a strong fight back from
United.
United
nearly sneak the winner after a Fry’s pass back failed to reach the keeper.
Fry’s
fight back with some more strong play from Mickey and Perry but again fail to
do enough to win the game after a positive first half.

2nd Match
1st Half
Bristol
United started well but were soon under fire from some
strong tackling from Corey. Corey passed up to Ben Harper who was tackled by a United player for a corner.
The
corner was crossed in by Ben and the home keeper could not hold on to the ball
after making a save and Nathan tapped the ball in for, 0-1.
Fry’s
continued to attack with more strong tackles going in from Corey and some
excellent balls played up the field.
Fry’s came close to adding another several times with
the closest coming from Nathan.
Nathan
continued to work the line with a good cross into the box but nothing on the
end.
A shot
from Ben Clapp forced the United keeper to make a save
and the ball was put straight out to a United player who ran the length of the
pitch only to be tackled by Corey.
Ben Clapp
then worked the left wing to fire a pass up to Nathan who drilled the ball home
for 0-2.
A good tackle by Ben Harper winning the ball and passing up to Ben
Clapp who fired home for 0-3.
Some one
touch football from Ben Harper whose pass found Nathan down the right wing who crossed low to Ben Clapp to make it 0-4.
A corner
from Fry’s saw Daniel Kendall nip in at the back to tuck the ball home for goal
number 5 for Fry’s.
Ben
Harper refused to take his foot off the pedal and added another with some nifty
footwork to leave the United players staring in
disbelief.
A corner
taken by Ben Harper was met with a brilliant header from Corey that only stayed
out by hitting the cross bar.
2nd Half
Fry’s continued with their
attack, forcing a corner that came to nothing and Corey and Ben H holding their
defensive rolls well at the other end.
Good passing of the ball by
Mitch Thornton and Nathan worked the ball up to Ben Harper who passed to Ben
Clapp whose shot came off the keeper and was followed in by Ben Harper for 0-6.
Bristol United had no
answer to the positive passing game of Fry’s and another goal each from Ben
Clapp and Ben Harper for his hat-trick make it 0-8.
From the
restart an excellent solo goal from Corey. He received the ball from the centre kick,went straight down the middle
of the pitch taking on at least four players to drill the ball home giving the
keeper no chance, 0-9.
Ben Clapp got his hat-trick
after receiving a pin point pass from Ben Harper to make it 0-10.
